What is Acupuncture anyway?
We get these questions all the time. It can be difficult to understand how it works, but if you have ever experienced Acupuncture you know it does!
Acupuncture balances your Qi (chi).  Qi is the vital energy that travels throughout our entire body. This is the energy which enlivens our spirit and physical being allowing us to go about our daily activities . There are two ways in which all things acquire this Qi: constitutionally (from conception to birth) and nutritionally (post birth). This Qi travels on specific pathways called meridians. Although Qi and these meridians are invisible, there is a significant current that flows through these systems.  Each of these meridians is connected to a specific organ system. All of the body systems are linked to support and nourish one another. If there is an imbalance of this flow of energy, then there will be discomforts and symptoms which usually lead to ailments or disease.
